Winners revealed for 7th Partner of the Year Awards

Momentum Media, Lawyers Weekly, and principal partner Commonwealth Bank are thrilled to unveil the winners of this year’s Partner of the Year Awards.

The Partner of the Year Awards has wrapped up for 2022, once again bringing an unparalleled awards program that identified the legal partners, or partners equivalent, across individual practice areas within the Australian legal profession.

Held at The Star in Sydney on Thursday, 28 July, the Partner of the Year Awards 2022 was an opportunity to celebrate the legal partners, or partners equivalent, across individual practice areas within the Australian legal profession.

The annual awards event is one of the legal profession’s most prestigious accolades and pinpoints professional development and innovation, showcasing the individuals who are leading the way in the industry.

Over 600 members of the legal profession glammed up and turned up to this year’s gala awards ceremony to cheer their peers and network with their colleagues.

A total of 262 finalists were chosen out of 406 submissions, with 33 winners and one Excellence Award winner ultimately walking away with trophies.

Speaking post-event, Lawyers Weekly editor Jerome Doraisamy said: “Leaders in Australia’s legal profession have faced extraordinary challenges and pressures in the last 12 months, and will continue to do so in FY23.

“To have been named as a finalist or winner is a true achievement and reflection of one’s success in navigating said challenges.

“On behalf of Lawyers Weekly, and all of our event partners, congratulations to all those recognised tonight. Your leadership in turbulent times is what ensures that Australia’s legal profession continues to flourish in leaps and bounds.”
