Over February and March, The Adviser toured the country for the Better Business Summit and Better Business Awards roadshow, partnered by NAB. The awards really help kick off the year with a bang – and, after the year that was 2019, are a true testament to the dedication, passion and commitment that this industry has delivered in a rollercoaster 12 months.
Kicking off in Adelaide on 13 February, and continuing to Perth (20 February), Sydney (27 February), and Brisbane (5 March), before finishing in Melbourne (12 March), the awards saw the outstanding brokers, BDMs, support staff and offices that are leading the way gain recognition in their local markets.
Several of the speeches made by the winners over the course of the awards paid homage to their families, clients, BDMs and teams for their support over a challenging year, and demonstrated just how much brokers give of themselves each and every day.
Congratulations to all of the winners of the Better Business Awards 2020!

Now in its seventh consecutive year, the Better Business Awards 2020 followed on from the award-winning Better Business Summit.
From revealing the future trends in customer service, detailing how to have better conversations with clients, outlining what the new home buyer looks like, exposing what mortgage borrowers have told us they REALLY want from the mortgage process – or bringing brokers advanced selling strategies to achieve amazing results – the day was all about ensuring brokers remain the trusted advisers of choice.
The Better Business Summit first launched in 2013 as a state-based event to provide brokers with straight-talking, practical advice to help them grow and improve their businesses.
It was the first state-based awards program to recognise and celebrate the best in the industry in their local markets.
The Better Business Summit has won multiple awards and has grown exponentially over the years to become the industry’s leading event, and now welcomes more than 4,500 attendees every year.
