Lawyers Weekly, in partnership with Zaliet, is pleased to announce the winners of the Legal Website Awards 2017.
The Lawyers Weekly Legal Website Awards 2017 aims to recognise the law firms who are putting up the best digital shopfront across five core categories – the Design Award, User Experience Award, Use of Technology Award, Content/Copywriting Award and the Photography Award.
The Design Award recognises the firm whose website successfully conveys their overall objectives through the visual design of their website. This includes their use of images, branding, text/font and colours.
The User Experience Award recognises the firm’s website that is easiest to navigate around.
The Use of Technology Award recognises the firm who has made a conscious effort to keep up with the digital age and bolstered their website with new capabilities, offering an edge over competitors.
The Content/Copywriting Award recognises the firm that is going out of their way to provide users with substantial content on their website. This includes, but is not limited to, customised content for different practice areas, blogs on new or current legislation and how that affects clients, and case studies from clients on how the firm has helped them.
The Photography Award recognises the firm who adequately takes into account that a “picture is worth a thousand words” and showcases the message of their firm through its use of photography. This category recognises the home page images, professional portraits, location photos and even the photography accompanied in different areas of law.
The awards come after Zaliet has found that up to 75 per cent of consumers research a product or service online before investing money in the said product or service. This research proves that it has become paramount for firms to make sure their websites are ticking all the boxes in order to add to their bottom line.
To uncover those who are successfully moving with the digital age and consistently redeveloping their website to appeal to users, Lawyers Weekly asked readers to nominate law firms for the five categories.
Nominations were then whittled down to 10 finalists per category. An online voting portal was opened up so readers could have their say on which firms they believe are leading the pack across the five metrics.
Lawyers Weekly and Zaliet would like to thank readers for their assistance in uncovering the best legal websites, and congratulate all the winners on their achievements.
