Nominations and submissions have opened for the Australian Accounting Awards 2023, run in partnership with Intuit QuickBooks.
Momentum Media and accounting brand Accountants Daily are urging all tax professionals to submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague for this year’s Australian Accounting Awards by Thursday, 6 April 2023.
The awards program will culminate in a gala five-star black-tie ceremony at the Star, Sydney, on Friday, 30 June 2023. Buy your tickets here.
Run with the support of principal partner Intuit QuickBooks, the prestigious awards program is celebrating its 10th anniversary by recognising the achievements of the accounting industry’s leading firms and their expertise, and successful professionals driving the Australian accounting industry forward.
There are 36 individual and group categories on offer, including Accounting Consultant of the Year, Auditor of the Year, Chief Financial Officer of the Year, Firm of the Year, Business Advisory Firm of the Year, and Start-up Firm of the Year.
Thought leaders, innovators and boutique firms will also be recognised for their hard work and dedication to propelling the industry forward, as will firms with the best marketing programs and wellness initiatives.
One individual winner with the highest score will walk away with the coveted Excellence Award trophy.
Last year’s recipient of the Excellence Award was Mason Dunn, chief financial officer at Carbon Group, after he also won the Chief Financial Officer of the Year award.
Securing an award will set you apart from your peers and strengthen your position in the industry by elevating your personal brand, while also boosting your credibility in your local market.
The awards will be peer-reviewed by a panel of well-respected judges, including professionals and business leaders, academics, business executives, entrepreneurs and innovators.
Speaking about its partnership with the Australian Accounting Awards 2023, Intuit Quickbooks marketing director Jane Merrick said: “It’s an honour to be the principal partner for a third year with the Australian Accounting Awards, recognising high-performing individuals and practices driving industry-leading innovation.
“At Intuit QuickBooks, we'll do all that we can to help accountants and bookkeepers harness the power of technology to improve productivity, create efficiencies and deliver great value for their clients.”
Since its inception in 2014, the awards have been the most anticipated event of the year for accounting professionals.
The program is known as the benchmark for excellence and provides national recognition to those who have influenced the profession and propelled the industry forward.
This year, the Australian Accounting Awards will once again celebrate the best and brightest in the accounting profession, while pinpointing professional development and innovation.
It will also showcase the best talent while highlighting contributions from the profession’s most senior ranks through to its rising stars.
The awards ceremony is an opportunity for the accounting firms to celebrate with their team in style and network with their peers at the industry’s night of nights.
Accountants Daily editor Philip King said: “The Australian Accounting Awards offers a moment to pause and honour the best-of-the-best in the profession over the past 12 months.
“This year, our 10th anniversary, will be a night of recognition, celebration and a lot of fun. I can’t wait!”
