Nominations and submissions have opened for the 12th annual 30 Under 30 Awards, which is being held with the support of principal partner Taylor Root.
Lawyers Weekly is calling on the young guns of the legal profession to enter the 2024 30 Under 30 Awards, now in its 12th year.
Submit an entry or nominate a worthy colleague by Thursday, 26 October 2023 for a chance to be recognised on the national stage.
The 30 Under 30 Awards are an unparalleled program that identifies the finest young lawyers across Australia who are aged 30 years or younger as at 31 December 2023.
Achieving 30 Under 30 status offers finalists and winners the foundation for career progression with industry-wide recognition for professional competency, while highlighting the passion for the law and dedication to personal advancement.
The awards also showcase the depth of talent among the rising stars of the legal profession, including lawyers and barristers.
Lawyers Weekly editor Jerome Doraisamy said: “It is always so heartening to see the breadth of talent among Australia’s next generation of leaders in law.”
“Extraordinary legal work has been undertaken by young lawyers over the course of this year, and we fully expect the 2024 list of finalists to be of the highest calibre,” he mused.
“We look forward to seeing all the submissions.”
There are 30 individual submission-based categories on offer this year that cover lawyers who work in banking and finance, commercial, cyber security, intellectual property, real estate, technology, and many more.
All submissions undergo a thorough audit process, where judges check demographic and other information against category eligibility criteria based on the information provided in the submission.
Those submissions deemed eligible against submission criteria are reviewed and assessed by a panel of Momentum Media events and editorial team members and executives, plus industry stakeholders where required, to determine the finalists for each category.
The finalists’ submissions will be judged by a highly regarded panel of influential professionals.
The awards offer recognition of the capabilities of young lawyers and their desire to propel the legal industry forward.
Securing a 30 Under 30 award could distinguish winners from their peers and strengthen their position in the profession by elevating their personal brand.
The program will culminate in a black-tie gala dinner awards ceremony on Thursday, 7 March 2024 at The Star in Sydney. Click here to buy your tickets.
The five-star celebration is an opportunity for legal professionals to network with leading firms and leaders in the legal industry and mingle with their colleagues and peers.
Finalists will be announced on Tuesday, 28 November 2023.
