There are 29 categories on offer for candidates this year covering the breadth of the legal profession.
Some of these categories include Academic/Researcher of the Year, Barrister of the Year, General Counsel of the Year, Not-for-Profit, Pro Bono, or Community Legal Centre Lawyer of the Year, Senior Associate of the Year, Sole Practitioner of the Year, and Special Counsel of the Year.
Other professionals that will be championed this year include law partners, senior associates, and rising stars operating in both big law and small-to-medium enterprise (SME) law, as well as thought leaders, mentors, marketing communications professionals, and wellness advocates.
The highest-scoring individual winner will become the recipient of the coveted Excellence Award at the end of the evening.
The Women in Law Awards program has been designed to highlight the hard work, dedication, and successes of women working in the legal profession, including executives, barristers, senior associates, law students, and the rising stars of tomorrow.
It is also an opportunity for women to attract more clients and propel their career to new heights.
Commenting on the awards program, principal partner nrol CEO and founder Jesse Shah said the decision to partner with the awards program for the second consecutive year was driven by its “unwavering commitment to promoting gender equality and diversity within the legal profession”.
“We believe that by shining a spotlight on the achievements of women in law, we can inspire the next generation of female leaders and create a more inclusive and equitable industry,” Shah said.
“As a leading legal recruitment firm, it is our responsibility to support initiatives that recognise and celebrate the significant contributions women make to the legal field, ensuring that their efforts do not go unnoticed.”
He continued: “Programs like the Women in Law Awards are crucial for empowering women within the legal profession. Such awards not only celebrate individual success but also challenge existing stereotypes and encourage systemic change within the industry. By honouring excellence and dedication, we can inspire more women to pursue and excel in legal careers, ultimately leading to a more balanced and diverse representation at all levels of the profession.”
Some of the most innovative and top-performing women in the legal profession have capitalised on winning this prestigious accolade by advancing in their careers and distinguishing themselves from their competitors when attracting and retaining the best talent, while strengthening their position when winning and retaining business.
The winners are judged by a well-respected panel that consists of academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators, who will provide peer-reviewed recognition of your capabilities and passion for driving the industry forward and reaffirms your role and the role of your firm in advancing the legal industry.
