Winners unveiled for Australian AI awards 2024

Momentum Media has announced 26 winners across 10 individual and 15 group categories for its brand-new Australian AI Awards.

The inaugural Australian AI Awards recognised the professionals, organisations, and solutions that are transforming the Australian economy.

A range of brands have emerged as some of the worthy winners at the inaugural Australian AI Awards 2024.  

With artificial intelligence rapidly permeating every industry, organisations ranging from small-to-medium enterprises (SME) to large enterprises have begun investing in AI or are planning to do so within the next five years. 

To address the growing adoption of artificial intelligence, Momentum Media launched the inaugural Australian AI Awards to recognise professionals, organisations, and solutions transforming the Australian economy. The awards program showcases innovators across banking, law, accounting, and wealth management through to defence, aerospace, cyber, and more.

Winners were revealed Wednesday, 6 November, 2024 at a black-tie gala at the Four Seasons Sydney.

The ceremony allowed members across a diverse range of sectors within the Australian economy to celebrate and network with leaders and peers. 

Some of the worthy winners included Suncorp Consumer Insurance for AI Innovator - Wealth Management, XPON Technologies for AI Innovator - Media & Communication Services and Elula Group for AI Innovator - Consumer Banking.

Winning one of Momentum Media’s coveted Australian AI Awards is an outstanding achievement in the artificial intelligence industry. It signifies the unwavering determination and commitment of individuals, teams, and businesses playing a pivotal role in propelling the industry forward.

As the first of its kind in Australia, the awards program provides national recognition to professionals and organisations that have developed innovative artificial intelligence solutions. The awards recognise innovators that are driving the economy forward across accounting, aerospace, banking, cyber security, defence, mortgage broking, law, wealth management, and various other sectors. 

The judging criteria for the award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and contribution to developing Australia’s AI toolkit.

To decide the winners, all finalists underwent a thorough audit process, checking demographic and other information against category eligibility criteria based on the information provided in the submission.

Professionals and organisations that took home trophies will gain national recognition for catapulting the industry forward, bolstering winners' opportunities for career advancement.
