The Lawyers Weekly Show, the audio content stream for one of Momentum Media’s flagship brands, has reached new heights in listenership.
The Lawyers Weekly Show, which releases new episodes every Friday, has received over 20,000 downloads in two of the past three months, far surpassing previous listenership records prior to the age of coronavirus.
The podcast – which is Momentum Media’s second-most popular show, after The Smart Property Investment Show – has grown exponentially in the past two-and-a-half years, having increased its audience from 4,000 downloads per month to its latest heights.
Speaking about the new listenership milestone, Lawyers Weekly deputy editor and podcast host Jerome Doraisamy said that the podcast offers a great opportunity for subscribers to engage with ‘dinner table conversations’ that provide a greater appreciation and understanding for the myriad issues and challenges facing the rule of law in Australia.
“We’ve been fortunate to speak with a plethora of fantastic guests, including but not limited to attorneys-general, managing partners, general counsel through to a former British Army officer and war crimes prosecutor, a former US senator, wellness experts and the runner-up of Survivor,” he reflected.
“Podcasting is a hugely important string in the Lawyers Weekly bow, and we’re very excited about being able to offer even more insightful and illuminating audio content to our listeners.”
Lawyers Weekly editor Emma Ryan added: “The Lawyers Weekly Show is undoubtedly the most listened to podcast concentrated on the business of law in Australia.
“Under Jerome’s stewardship the podcast has grown into being an essential resource for legal professionals across the board.
“We’re excited to produce this content each week and plan to grow even more through the introduction of new shows, targeting different niches within the profession, and further capitalising on its success.”
The Lawyers Weekly Show has over 250 episodes in its back catalogue, all available on iTunes or whatever platform one chooses to listen to podcasts.
