Momentum Media is pleased to announce that submissions are now open for the Lawyers Weekly 2022 Partner of the Year Awards.
With support from principal partner Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the seventh annual Partner of the Year Awards recognises the leading partners and partner-equivalent across individual practice areas within the Australian legal profession.
Momentum Media and Lawyers Weekly will host the black-tie gala dinner event on Thursday 28 July at The Star in Sydney, providing the industry with an opportunity to connect with their peers and celebrate their successes.
Regarded as one of the legal profession’s most prestigious accolades, the awards pinpoint professional development and innovation, showcasing the individuals who are leading the way in the industry.
The awards recognise specialists from corporate and criminal to family, mergers and acquisitions, and many more across 36 categories, including Employment Partner of the Year, Wills and Estates Partner of the Year, Class Actions Partner of the Year, and Sports and Entertainment Partner of the Year.
They are open to all individuals and businesses operating in Australia supporting the business of law.
Speaking ahead of the awards, Lawyers Weekly editor Jerome Doraisamy said that he is excited for an even bigger showcase of the extraordinary work being undertaken by professional leaders.
"This year will see new categories, meaning more partners can and will be acknowledged for their myriad achievements," he said.
"As a profession, it is essential that we take the time to appreciate the success of those leading on all client matters, big and small, that serve as cogs in the machine of our nation as we look to move past the global pandemic and into a new-look marketplace.
“It is Lawyers Weekly's great honour to be able to support and celebrate those partners."
Commonwealth Bank’s national director of professional services, Daniela Pasini, said: “CommBank is proud to be supporting the legal industry through our sponsorship of the Partner of the Year Awards.
“This year’s awards once again highlight the outstanding contributions from individuals and firms across the country who have navigated their way through challenging times. We wish you the best of luck on the night.”
